Professional Development
We believe in active professional development. Staff bring a great deal of knowledge and expertise with them, and we want to draw that out while infusing new questions and ideas to complement their knowledge. We offer professional development on a wide range of topics including behavior management, family engagement, multicultural literacy, and play.
Curriculum & Assessment
Our view of curriculum and assessment is founded on the belief that children learn best through play and the co-construction of knowledge with supportive staff. An authentic assessment through portfolios allows the teachers to accurately gauge children’s knowledge and individualize instruction based on their interests and needs. We guide programs through the development, implementation, and training of curriculum and assessment and also work within currently selected program curricula.
Organizational Management
Organizing and managing early childhood programs can be daunting. Whether it is finding qualified staff or community outreach, there are endless facets that must work together to create a positive and successful educational environment. Our services include writing policies and procedures, creating coherent systems, and management training that helps put the pieces together and makes you confident in your work culture.

ABOUT KATHEEB
Katheeb means “dune” in Arabic. Dunes are a geological bridge between different countries, cultures, and experiences and serve as a symbol for our shared humanity. Whether near the Great Lake Dunes or in the Middle East and North Africa where sand dunes are plentiful, early childhood education is the key to advancing and sustaining viable communities locally and globally.
Katheeb was founded on the core belief that all children have a right to play and develop in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. We work to meet the needs of programs through the use of developmentally appropriate practices that support staff and make positive contributions to society.
